I recently competed in my first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) competition as a white belt in the "old" man's division.
I lost one via points and won one via submission.
Not bad for an old man.
To be honest, if it wasn't for my BJJ Coach and marine veteran, Tyler Boone, my experience would have been completely different.
Without my BJJ Coach, I don't think I would have pushed myself hard enough to compete.
Yet, Tyler knew I wanted to compete.
He pushed me to get better. To reach my goal of competing in a BJJ competition.
I share this with you to remind you how important it is to have someone in your corner rooting for you... and... more than willing to give you a kick in the ass when you're slacking.
If you want to get to the next level, reach a goal, or achieve something you think is impossible, get help.
Asking for help is the only reason why my first competition as an "old man" was a success.
Coaches are the secret to reaching your objective faster.
The best way to get a coach is to ask for help.
Never Quit, Never Surrender, Always Forward!
P.S. Is your goal to make this summer your healthiest one yet? If you answered, “yes” I want to coach you for the next 30-days… and… it will only cost you $3.29 a day.

Being a dad has been one of the most fulfilling things I've ever experienced in my life.
